Experiment No: 1 - Electronic Workshop Lab


Experiment No: 1
Familiarization of commonly used Electronic Workshop Tools : Bread Board, Solder, Cable, Relays, Switches, Connectors, Fuses, Cutter, Plier, Screw Driver set, Wire Stripper, Flux, Knife/Blade, Soldering IRON, de-Soldering pump etc.
Aim:
a)      Study of Bread Board and design Series Resistors Circuit, Parallel Resistor Circuit & LED circuit using RPS.
b)      Study of Flux, Knife/Blade, Solder, Soldering IRON & de-Soldering and design LED circuit using RPS.
c)       Study of Cutter, Relays Switches & Connectors and design basic circuits.
d)       Study of Fuses, Screw Driver Set & Wire Stripper and assemble & dissemble of any electronic system.

Procedure:
Part 1:
  1. Connections are made as per the circuit diagram1.
  2. The RPS +ve is connected to the one end of the resistor and RPS –ve is connected to the other end of the resistor.
  3. Switch on the power supply and measures the voltage drop at each resistor using DMM.
  4. Note down the corresponding voltages and tabulated of different steps of input voltage.
  5. Repeat the same procedure to circuit diagram2 and circuit diagram3.

Precautions:
1. Connections are made as per the circuit diagram and should be tight.
2. Do not connect power to a circuit until the circuit is finished and never work on a circuit while power is applied.

3. If anything is burning, immediately disconnect the power and examine your circuit to find out the problem.
