Experiment No: 4
Testing of electronic
components like Resistor, Capacitor, Diode, Transistor, ICs etc.
● Compare values of
components like Resistors, Inductors, Capacitors etc with the measured values by using
electronic instruments.
Aim:
A) Test the electronic components like Resistor, Capacitor, and Inductor by using the electronic instruments.
B) Compare values of components like resistors, inductors, and capacitors with the measured values by using electronic instruments.
C) Test the electronic components like Diode, and Transistor, ICs by using the electronic instruments.

Procedure
:
1. Testing the resistor
value using Multimeter and compare the theoretical value using color band.
2. Testing the
Capacitor value using Multimeter and compare the theoretical value.
3. Diode anode terminal
is connected to the Multimeter's Positive end and Diode cathode terminal is
connected to the Multimeter's negative end then find the value, where as Multimeter
keeping as Diode mode.
4. Repeat the same
procedure to all the components.
5. Note down the
corresponding values and tabulated of different values.

Precautions:
1.
Connections are made as per the circuit diagram and should be tight.
2. Do
not connect power to a circuit until the circuit is finished and never work on
a circuit while power is applied.
3. If anything
is burning, immediately disconnect the power and examine your circuit to find
out the problem.
